I've written a couple of posts this morning, but have been fighting with Typepad in the loading of the pictures. Now that I've finally gotten the photos up, I feel like I've run out of words.
A while back, I said enough was enough, and decided to buy no more yarn this year. Ahem. You see, I have this little weakness for Elann. I do all right if I just stay away, but once I begin window shopping, it's a downhill slide.
So, the other day, Stuart says to me that he expected a bit extra on his paycheque, and if I wanted to order some yarn I should just go ahead. Elann was offering this sample pack of yarns, six medium weight balls in a colour grouping. I chose the Reds, and have been enjoying fondling Incense, Pure Alpaca, Highland Donegal, Sierra Aran, Highland Wool and Uros Aran. While I was there, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse - a bag of Needful Yarns London Tweed, in Mallard. Mmmm mmmm gooood!
The worst thing is that I have no immediate plans for any of it, but it's all lovely anyway, and I have been doing quite well with the whole knit from stash thing, so I'm not going to let myself feel guilty. I'm back to no ordering yarn again, but this sure was a nice way to fall!
