My big surprise, though, when I opened up the package, was that Stuart had been sneaky. He went online after I placed my order, and ordered me a set of Denise interchangeable needles. I've been longing for them for a long time, but could never justify the purchase. What a great treat! I haven't tried them out yet, although they're not in the picture because I had everything out all over the place when I snapped the photo.
If you've never heard of them, I ordered from Busy Hands Yarn, which is sadly going out of business. If you're a bargain hound, there are bargains to be had! Once I knew I was going to be working for a bit, and more hours than I was planning, I allowed myself a second order of a few things I passed over the first time. It should be here the end of this week or early next (Canada Post is a flighty bunch at times), so I'll show you my next set of goodies then. Boy, do I feel spoiled!
Happy Belated Birthday! What a great gift. I will have to suggest this approach to my husband. Who doesn't love a shopping spree?? Congratulations on your haul. :)

Oh wow, wow, wow. What a fantastic haul and how sweet of him to slip the needles in too. Oh how exciting, I bet you are having a lovely time browsing all those mags and books. The sweater yarn looks lovely, beautiful colour. Thanks for your sympathy on the Denim thing, unbelievable the extra balls I bought to finish a very different dye lot and not suitable so I am awaiting the yarn from elsewhere now, it truely is the jinxed knitting project.

Now Stuart really does deserve a medal (or perhaps something even nicer...?) What a gorgeous gift to get - permission to splurge on whatever takes your fancy (and so MUCH can take your fancy online...)Charity, let me know whereabouts you live and maybe we can meet up at your LYS in late September? I'll be in BC from Sept. 22 to Oct. 3. Tried to email you but it bounced back. You can always email via Knitter's Review Forum.Jocelticmemoryyarns.blogspot.com

Happy belated birthday! Wow, Stuart rocks - what a thoughtful guy he seems to be! I so love that yarn, these colors are just fantastic, and I think no one can blame you for having your heart beating a bit faster still with these goodies! Enjoy them all, and I can't wait to see what you're going to make with this yarn!
