You know the labels you can assign to each post? Is it just me, or is almost every single entry of mine tagged "Stash"? Hmmm.
My Kpixie order arrived today! Hello, yarn!
Goodbye, laundry, camping preparations, housework! The Blue Sky Cotton is a different dye lot than what came in the kit, but so far I don't see a big difference between the two lots. I'm hoping that using this one skein for all the finishing will help it not be too noticeable! Also, see the extras! Two skeins of Lorna's Laces, both closeouts, plus a skein of the famous Tofutsie yarn! There was also a little something else, but it's for a gift for a friend of mine who's expecting, so you'll have to wait until next month to see that. Come to think of it, maybe that's what I should take along with me on our trip! What do you think?
Oh YUM! That's a whack of pretty yarns...niiice colours and Yep, I think if you use that skein for the finishing it will be just fine, better than fine ;^).
As to what you 'should' take with you? Whatever your heart desires...after all, it is a holiday!
Have a great time! Will be patiently waiting to hear all about it. (already twiddling thumbs :^)

Pretty yarn, I can't wait to see your finished Eyelet Cardi, and Im sure if you use the new dyelot just for the finishing it will not be noticeable at all.

FINALLY! Bye bye blog and family and friends and food! See you on the flip side of finishing? eh? Oh, the alliteration. Inaccurate but addicting.

Ooh good choices to keep the Blue Skys company. Can't wait to see the cardi all done. Little baby project sounds like good travel knitting.

oh I am soo jealous of your stash, there aren't any yarn shops near me so it is all bought on line which is just not the same.

What's on the menu for the laceweight?

I'm with Arianwen (BTW I LOVE that name), my LYS generally only stocks the basic Sirdar and Patons yarns with the occasional Annie Blatt etc. Getting something like Tofutsies, Lorna's Laces or whatever all has to be done online. Bit of a nuisance really.

I'd take a couple of projects on your trip. There's too much lovely yarn there not too!

I wouldn't know what to pick from this stash. I'm working with Tofutsies now!

of course! one can always justify one more skein on a trip!

Despite not being a sock knitter I fell in love with that colour of Tofutsies . It is finer than I expected but should make a scarf.

Wait a minute! I'd definitely consider gathering yarn and knitting projects together an essential part of camping preparations!
