"Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy" - Anne Frank
I sat down this morning, and went through the last few months worth of my 2007 Stitch n' Bitch calendar. It was a peaceful, quiet time, while the little ones played, and I sat listening to a podcast and reading all these little tips and quotes, and checking out some of the simple little patterns. It was fun.
I finished Brian's Car Sweater! All I need to do is find two 1" buttons to sew on the front to be the wheels of the car, and I'll be able to post it! Hooray! I've started knitting on Gwenyth's little sweater, which is looking cute, but is going to take FOREVER! Knitting a sweater with sock yarn has an element of craziness to it, I think. But it'll be worth it in the end, right?
Here's one more little quote for the day - Enjoy!
"He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; you cannot fly into flying." - Friedrich Nietzsche
How wonderful that you had that time to reflect! I savor those peaceful moments. My wee ones aren't napping, resting or playing quietly today so I'll experience yours vicariously instead. Hope you don't mind ;-)

Sounds like a lovely moment! A sweater knit from sock yarn is a lot of work, but I'm sure it will be well worth the effort.

Wonderful quotes!
Aaah... a bit of time for yourself and so pleasantly spent!
Congrats on finishing Brian's sweater! The little Peacock sweater is a real beauty... I'm with you though... knitting a sweater using sock yarn... but at least it's a small sweater,eh? :^)
You are just really perking along with the knits now!

Your quotations are so well chosen, Charity, and they've struck a chord with me.
Love Brian's sweater - I can imagine how proud he is to wear it!
