After writing the other day that I very much want to learn to sketch, I decided that I had waited long enough, and dug out my copy of The Creative License, by Danny Gregory. I read the first part of it this morning, and then sat down to make my first attempt at a drawing. The writing in this book inspires me and fills me with enthusiasm - for the first time, instead of telling myself that this is something I just can't do, I'm deciding that drawing is definitely something I can learn. And I am going to! Even if it feels strange, and completely outside of my comfort zone. Stretching is good, right?
We're getting ready for Mother's Day here - what do you think these will become?
yippie! good for you, I bet you are going to really enjoy it. in fact it sounds so good, I'm going to look for the book at our library

Maybe flowers? My oldest one made a flower in school, and the petals were cut outs of his hands. :)
