The nasty cold spell has broken, and I managed to sneak in a thrift store visit yesterday morning. When one can finally leave the house, what better place to head for? After the essential trip to the library, of course.
I'm always so very happy to come across craft supplies, especially ribbon. I love ribbon. I love ribbon so much, I have a hard time using it. Which is silly, I know. I also found some binding & twill tape, which I am less reluctant to use, and so always glad to find.
I did manage to use some ribbon, the very same day I found it, a feat almost unheard of in these here parts. I will show you, but I have to take a picture first... Tomorrow, perhaps?
Are you a thrifter? What kind of treasures do you hunt for?
I love ribbon too, but seem to love using it as much ;) I've been thrifting a few time, not much success. I do have a few ideas for projects coming up that I WILL thrift for, fingers crossed this time

I love thrift stores, in fact, I just finished making over a coat I bought at a thrift store. I'm trying to work on slowly replacing some of the things in my home that I've had for years, and don't really go with my look anymore, mostly kitchen items.

We went out on foot for groceries and had to stop at the charity shops first and cart back heavy books we found :) I love to look for books, china and I always dream of haberdashery but those finds are so rare - those ribbons look fabulous and I have the same love and the same hard time using them :)

When we're in England, I love to pop into charity shops. Am always looking for yarn to "rescue" and also books for myself, my daughters and a friend who embroiders. Found some 100% wool!!
Can't resist bookshops either and brought back 8 books with patterns and stitches last time we went!
Happy hunting from
a Dutch knitter
