Before I inundate you with holiday stories & pictures, I thought I'd show off my great knitting accomplishment - all those hours in the truck motivated me to finish up my Buttercup! It feels so good to have a finished knitting object - it's been a while.
Pattern - Buttercup
Yarn - Berroco NaturLin, Navy (I think) 7 skeins
Needles - US 5 & 6 Denise Interchangeables
Notes/Modifications - I knit the size S for this pattern, and didn't do any major modifications, other than shortening the final length by several repeats. The yarn was an awesome choice for this pattern, the finished fabric drapes beautifully, is fairly soft, and breathes wonderfully. The neckline is a tad low, compared to how I usually dress, but seems flattering (and shows off my family birthstone necklace, too). I especially enjoy how back of the neck is gathered, and the way it drapes down the back. As time goes by, I find the knits that I love to wear are the simplest ones, and this one fits the bill - a bit of lace, some simple shaping, and lots of stocking stitch.
My favourite part of the whole "photo shoot" was Liam's contribution...
