Things have been super busy again this week - between work, spring break, school, and the never ending demands of our home and life, I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Today is the first day in the last two weeks that Liam & I have been on our own - I think we've both missed our time together. It's funny that I worried about how much he would miss the kids when they all went to school, and really, our time for just the two of us has become something to be savoured. This morning we did our required errands, but also snuck in a quick visit to the library, and had a date at Starbucks. It was very nice.
You can see in the picture the fruits of my day off: seedlings growing, bread rising, and naturally: yarn and reading. The yarn is Mission Falls 1824 Cotton - I bought it years ago at a deeply discounted price, because the dye lot was a little off. No problems with the yarn, though, so it's okay with me. I'm knitting a baby blanket for a friend who's expecting this spring, and it's a great movie watching project - even better than socks!
The novel is one I've been anticipating for a while, and it arrived at the library this week! The latest Thursday Next book by Jasper Fforde, one of my favourites. Truthfully, most of my time is still being spent in Hitchcock-land, but that paper is due next week, so I figured I could branch out a little bit. I read the first chapter last night, and am using it as a carrot - if I get X amount of work done on my paper, I can read another chapter. Very effective for me.
Now, to get back to work...
Hi Charity! You've been busy! You're my hero...I always wanted to be a librarian...just didn't think I could do the MLA while working and raising Dan. You are going to rock!
